McDonald's has announced a new partnership with the Ligue 1 football league, which will see the fast-food giant become the official food partner of the French top-flight competition.

The deal is set to launch in July this year and will see McDonald's provide fans with exclusive dining experiences at selected stadiums across France during the season.

As part of the agreement, McDonald's will also be launching a range of specially designed menus for fans to enjoy throughout the campaign.

"We're excited to announce our partnership with the Ligue 1 football league," said McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook. "This is an exciting opportunity to bring the iconic McDonald's experience to fans all over France."

The partnership comes as McDonald's looks to expand its presence in Europe, following its recent acquisition of the Italian pizza chain Pizza Hut.

According to the company, the partnership with the Ligue 1 football league is just one part of its wider strategy to grow its business in the region.

"McDonald's has always been committed to providing delicious, affordable meals that people can enjoy on-the-go," Easterbrook added. "And with the addition of the Ligue 1 football league, we hope to offer even more fans a convenient and enjoyable way to enjoy their favorite fast-food meal."
